Neither the Town of Wentworth nor Rockingham County Government maintains any land within the corporate limits of the Town of Wentworth that is designated for or open to hunting. Any land within the corporate town limits of Wentworth that may be open to hunting is privately owned.
The Town of Wentworth does not maintain a list of land owners who allow hunting on privately owned property.
It is the ethical responsibility of hunters to obtain permission from the landowner before hunting on privately owned property. Hunters are legally required to obtain written permission to hunt on posted property.
One publicly available strategy for hunters seeking permission to hunt on privately owned lands is to use the link below for “Rockingham County Government Offices.” Once at that website and after clicking on the “Your County Government” tab to access the Home Page, scroll down on the left side of the page, and under the heading, “Most Popular,” use the GIS tab to gain access to “Rockingham County Interactive GIS.” After entering this site, use “Layers” to identify larger tracts of land within the municipality to identify perspective land owners for contact for permission to hunt.
The link to the Map of Wentworth City Limits below identifies the corporate limits of the Town and many of the roads within and near the corporate limits of the Town of Wentworth.
